About the Artist

Courtney Costa Artist, Courtney Costa Art, woman with long, reddish-brown hair smiling while sitting in a field of green clover. She is wearing a black top with floral embroidery and pink accents, and large hoop earrings.

Courtney Costa, a self-taught multidisciplinary artist originally from Las Vegas and now based in Ashland, Oregon, creates immersive visual worlds inspired by old cinema, gothic literature, fairy tales, pop culture, desert landscapes, and the Pacific Northwest. Her paintings blend whimsy, mystery, and emotional depth, creating an adventurous narrative of figurative characters that traipse through dream-worlds, where they roam, play, and explore.

While local news outlet Ashland.news highlighted her rapidly growing artistic practice and distinctive approach to visual storytelling in a recent feature article, Costa’s work has drawn attention beyond Southern Oregon. Seven Magazine NYC described her paintings as “worlds of exacting whimsy — one we’d love to live in.”

Courtney Costa’s work has been displayed in various galleries and group shows throughout Southern Oregon, and most recently held a solo exhibition titled Girl World at The Langford Gallery in Phoenix Oregon.
